Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Raheem Sterling SIGNS, Koulibaly medical TOMORROW, Kimpembe lined up next

Good morning Chelsea fans

Raheem Sterling is flying to LA to join his new Chelsea teammates ahead of his official unveiling this week.

The Manchester City attacker is expected to seal a £50million transfer in the next 24 hours once he is fully medically clear.

Ex-Liverpool forward Sterling will be given a £300,000-a-week contract to sign a five-year deal with an option for a further 12 months.

He could then make his Chelsea debut next Wednesday in Charlotte or Saturday in Orlando at Arsenal.

But it’s believed he won’t be appearing on Saturday against Club America in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have finalized the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports.

The defender said earlier in the day that the talks with the Blues were going in the right direction.

And now it has been confirmed that those talks have resulted in Koulibaly’s move to Stamford Bridge being finalized.

The Blues will cough up €40 million to Napoli for the centre-back, who will earn €10 million over five years, according to Sky Sports.

Elsewhere, Chelsea stopper Edouard Mendy is confident he will have a solid defensive duo ahead of him next season.

The Blues lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen at the back this summer.

But Mendy isn’t worried, as he’s confident the Blues will bring in the right players to replace the duo.

He told the Times: “We were happy with Toni and with Christensen, but I think we’re more than happy with the defenders who will be arriving,”

Finally, Cesar Azplicueta can only complete his dream transfer to Barcelona if Chelsea sign a replacement.

The Blues have already lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer.

And they also refuse to let Azpilicueta leave without bringing in some fresh faces, according to the Daily Mail.
