Home Theater Deals

Roku Streaming Stick 4K

Photo: Roku

This streaming stick from Roku has consistently been one of our favorites, and now it’s cheaper than usual. It comes with the Roku Voice Remote so you can find your shows without using the annoying on-screen keyboard, and the latest version (released in 2021) supports Dolby Vision HDR.

We called the LG C1 (8/10, WIRED recommended) a game-changing TV, thanks to its top-notch contrast, 120Hz refresh rate at 4K, and minimal input lag, all of which make it excellent for both cinema and gaming. We usually see this set for around $900 on Amazon, but today it’s an all-time low.

Sony makes some of the best looking OLED TVs on the market, and this screen is amazing. At 48 inches, it’s not one of the largest out there, but it’s still good for medium-sized living spaces. The center stand makes it relatively easy to install; it supports both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision types HDR; and it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is useful for gamers.

We are big fans of TCL’s 5 and 6 Series TVs somewhere around here. While the 4 Series used to be a bit too flimsy to deserve our recommendations, recent models have started to inherit the specs we liked from previous generations. This 43-inch model is an excellent budget model if you need a smaller TV for a guest room, for example.

Home and kitchen deals

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus

The KitchenAid Pro 5 Kitchen Robot needs no introduction. Still, this is one of the most versatile tools you can have in your kitchen. The price tends to be pretty tacky so if we see it drop that much we notice.

Dyson V11

The Dyson V11 (8/10, WIRED recommended) is in a strange place. While WIRED reviewer Adrienne So called it a “dream vac,” it’s been discontinued in favor of newer options like the V15† That makes it somewhat rare to find this vac on sale, and normally the V11 and V15 are close enough in price that you might as well pay a little extra to get the V15. But with this discount, the older model might be worth it.

The Nest Doorbell was almost our top pick for video doorbell, but because of the price it dropped to second place. With this deal, however, that is no longer a problem. This model has an easy-to-use holder and can be used for up to a month on a single charge.

This third-generation Nest Learning Thermostat is a slightly older model, but it has held up surprisingly well and we like it. It lets you control heating and air conditioning from your phone and easily set schedules (which it can try to learn based on how you use it). It even reminds you when to change your filters.

Smartphone and wearable offers

Google Pixel 6 Pro

Google’s latest high-end flagship, the Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, WIRED recommended) has one of the best cameras in a phone we’ve seen, including the impressive and welcome Real Tone feature that takes better photos of dark-skinned people. It’s been my daily driver since it came out and now it’s even more rewarding than usual.

Samsung’s S22 phone line (9/10, WIRED recommended) are some of the best Android phones money can buy, and this is the lowest price we’ve seen on the base model. It has a three-camera system (although it lacks the 10x zoom of the Ultra), a gorgeous 6.1-inch AMOLED display, and Samsung has promised a whopping one (for Android phones, anyway). four years of Android upgrades.

For slightly more than the S22, the S22+ (9/10, WIRED recommended) includes a slightly larger 4,500 mAh battery (versus 3,700 mAh on the S22), supports faster charging, and has a larger 6.6-inch screen. If you like the S22 but want a sturdier phone, it’s still relatively close in price range.

The original Garmin Instinct has been surpassed by some newer modelsbut at a discount, it’s still a solid buy if you’re looking for a GPS-enabled smartwatch that’s packed with sensors, mapping capabilities, and a rugged casing.

Beats Studio3

The Studio3 wireless headphones from (Apple-owned) Beats (8/10, WIRED recommended) have been an iconic headset for a few years now, and for good reason. They have excellent noise cancellation, a solid wireless range and a battery life of at least 20 hours per charge.

We didn’t test Sony’s WH-XB910N, but their more expensive cousin, the WH-1000XM4 (9/10, WIRED recommended) earned our choice for best wireless headphones† If you’d rather save some money while still taking advantage of the benefits of Sony’s headset design, these may fit your bill.

The Alpha a7 IV (9/10, WIRED recommended) is our best camera choice for most people† The Alpha a7 III may be a generation behind that pick, but it still packs most of the same power (as long as you don’t need the improved autofocus system), and it’s significantly cheaper than the a7 IV.
