Charles Hoskinson criticized Jimmy Song’s proof-of-stake comment by completely contradicting Song’s view of the consensus. Jimmy Song is a prominent bitcoin developer and an expert who is quite famous on Twitter for losing his views and opinions on the proof-of-stake consensus.
He has always delved into the consensus and has always criticized it, claiming that it does not solve problems. Song had recently caught the attention of Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, who wrote to one of Jimmy’s tweets.
Earlier this month, he also did a dig on the Ethereum network. He questioned the decentralization of the network by claiming that switching from Ethereum to PoS would not solve the Byzantine general’s problem.
Jimmy caught the eye of Charles Hoskinon
In one of his recent tweets, Jimmy Song stated that “proof of stake is the ultimate dog and pony show.”
“You have to vote as the centralized controllers want, otherwise you will lose your money. It has the honesty of a 100% vote in a dictatorship, Song said in one of his tweets.”
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, however, did not fully agree with Song’s opinion. Hoskinson criticized Song, stating that “I didn’t know Jimmy was doing sequels, but the dumb is back, and boy, it didn’t disappoint.”
The tweet also caught the attention of several proof-of-stake fans, who gave Song a ear for comments†
“Remove cowboyhead and let your head breathe! BTC has barely evolved for 13 years, destroys energy, is very slow, centralized/monopolized in 3 mining companies, high mining entry fee, can only do a transaction from A to B, etc. You have to deal with that before you open your mouth.
One Twitter user wrote:
Song is not new to these criticisms and comments about his take on proof-of-stake. Given that he came back with another tweet that contradicted evidence of stake after the previous tweet that got quite a bit of backlash, Song is on a mission to go against PoS.
Will Song come back with another tweet? If he does, who will criticize him next? I think we have to wait and find out.
