The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Novavax’s coronavirus vaccine for emergency use in adults, making it the fourth vaccine available to Americans.
The authorization on Wednesday is for persons of 18 years and older.
Novavax’s vaccine is a two-dose series that uses a different technology than the previously approved Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson injections.
