Nothing phone (1) available at Reliance Digital Stores

In an event titled “Return to instinct”, Nothing Phone (1) will be released on July 12. Pre-order information for the smartphone is currently available and Flipkart will be the only retailer in India to offer it.

It is interesting to note that a recent report suggests that stores in India are selling the Nothing smartphone. According to 91Mobiles, Nothing is in talks with Reliance Digital about the offline sale of the Nothing Phone (1).

Since Nothing plans to have better control over its stock, it’s unclear when the phone will go on sale through offline markets. Unlike Nothing’s initial sales strategy, choosing offline sales would require a large number of units to be available and waiting for inventory to sell out. The company has stated that an invite-only mechanism will be used to make the device available for purchase so that community members can get it first. The company can analyze the demand and produce units if necessary using the invitation-only method.

More about Nothing Phone (1)

The device is rumored to come with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by Snapdragon 778G+ SoC and have 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is also said to support 45W fast charging.

Nothing has substantiated some of the claims related to the phone (1). The back of the device is translucent. It contains several strips with up to 900 individual LED lights on the back that light up when the user receives a call, message or other notification.

There are two cameras on the back of the phone. In addition, wireless charging compatibility has been confirmed. Last but not least, the phone (1) is known to come out of the box with Nothing OS on top of Android 12.

However, we will only find out the truth of the leaked information about the availability of offline stores in a few days.
