In other words, three-quarters of the readers surveyed said they had comfort issues in some way. Of course, ears come in all shapes and sizes, so there isn’t really a one-size-fits-all solution. But it does suggest that manufacturers have even more work to do.

On the other hand, 11.94% of respondents said that every model they tried was comfortable. Finally, 12.37% of readers surveyed said they simply haven’t tried true wireless earbuds.

  • Gianluca Di Maggio: My CCA C10 hurt after about 2 hours and the Sony WF-1000XM3 was very uncomfortable for me. The last E1000 was nice, now I ordered some Melomania 1+ for myself because they were reduced in size, which should suit everyone when choosing the right earphones 🙂
  • alfonso: Sony Linkbuds is the winner to my ears. I even forget I have them on. Otherwise, I can wear any other earplug or headphone for up to 1-2 hours. I also love that my Linkbuds don’t mute what’s going on around me.
  • sachouba: The SoundCore Liberty 3 Pro are the first true wireless earphones that completely seal my ears and are comfortable in the long run. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Bud Pro is a comfort nightmare.
  • BluSleeper: Out of everything I’ve tried, Bose has the best technology for ear comfort. I can wear it almost all day. Not the best in sound reproduction. But the best comfort by far, so I kept my QC20s with me. I also used it for my portable USB C DAC. A really beautiful combination. I wish studio monitors would have this comfort level. For wireless, I love my Samsung earbuds. Surprisingly comfortable and efficient. I had my doubts, but they are my most used earbuds with a lot of software functionality that is also built in with a small housing.
  • Gregg Long: How about wireless headphones that you can effortlessly insert into your ear canal? How come Apple seems to be the only company making one?
