Royalists ‘buzz’ to see Firm and hit Sussexes ‘broadcast trouble’ | Royal | News

Tracey McNickle and Jonny Ewart stopped for a chat with the Express outside Westminster Abbey to share their thoughts on the Royal family after Netflix aired the latest reveals from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tell-all series. The couple from Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland had traveled to London to catch a glimpse of King Charles and Queen Camilla when the royal couple appeared on Thursday at the Abbey’s annual Christmas carol service alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The co-founders of Carrick Connect in Carrickfergus previously met William and Kate during the royal couple’s visit to Northern Ireland in October.

Ms McNickle was full of praise for the Prince and Princess of Wales, noting how loved the couple were by the public.

She told Express.co.uk: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be here today, on 6th October we had the Prince and Princess of Wales come to our organization Carrick Connect, of which we are co-founders, to visit us and we actually had a good hour ten minutes with them.

“They’re such special people to us, and we’re just so excited to be here to see them and to also have the bonus of King Charles and Queen Camilla here is just fantastic. Everyone loves them.”

In the latest Netflix episode to be released, Prince Harry recalls a shouting match with his brother during a tense Sandringham meeting over the Sussexes’ royal plans.

Asked about his reaction to Meghan and Harry’s latest Netflix series, Mr Ewart described the latest revelations as “really sad”.

He told Express.co.uk: “I’m sad they’re doing that, it’s a great institution.

“Like any family, they have their problems, but you don’t vent your problems in public.”

He added: “Certainly the wrong time to do this, to undermine the new king, would their grandmother be proud of this? No. So it’s very sad.”

It comes as Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined The Princess of Wales and Prince William as the family stepped out in London for the Together at Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

Kate, smiling and looking relaxed, arrived before 4.20pm, wearing an elegant deep red coat dress with matching shoes and handbag.

She greeted the clergy at the door of the abbey before entering, where she chatted with guests and gave children an enthusiastic high five.

Prince Harry says in episode 5 of the Netflix documentary that William “yelled” at him while sitting down with the family.

He says, “Having my brother yell and yell at me and have my dad say things that just weren’t true was terrifying.”

“And my grandmother, you know, sits there quietly and kind of takes it all in.”

The claims are likely to lead to a deepening rift between the brothers as the royal family braces for further revelations.
