Bernd Leno has asked Arsenal to lower its asking price to secure its move to Fulham this summer, according to reports.

The 30-year-old joined the Gunners in a £22.5m deal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018 and was their regular goalkeeper for three seasons.

But follow Aaron RamsdaleComing last year, Leno only made four appearances in the Premier League last season and only eight times in all competitions.

Fulham are eager to sign the German goalkeeper but refuse to match Arsenal’s £11million value.

According to talkSPORTLeno is desperate to leave Arsenal and his representatives now want the club to lower their asking price ‘as a sign of respect’ for his four years with the Gunners.

Arsenal have already signed US international Matt Turner as a replacement for Leno.

Leno’s agent, Joannis Koukoutrigas, said last month that Leno should still be considered Arsenal’s number 1 goalkeeper.

“He is a German national goalkeeper, has always performed well at Arsenal and is an absolute team player,” Koukoutrigas told Bild.

“For me personally, Bernd is also the clear number 1 at Arsenal. With all due respect to the competitors.

“Yes, Fulham are doing their best to get Bernd. Very professional. This also applies to some other clubs and shows his status.

“But, as I said, he is number 1 for me at Arsenal and that’s why we are relaxed.”
