The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was released last year with a custom S-pen, under-display camera, durable, water-resistant design, and a $ 200 price cut compared to its predecessor. It’s still one of the best foldable smartphones you can buy because it offers the longest software updates on the market, as well as all the upgrades it brings. But a year later, the time for a successor known as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is approaching.

First, don’t expect Samsung to bring a larger foldable. It doesn’t make sense to make it larger than the size the company already offers. Hemmerstoffer and Tarekomi’s Yogash Brar report that the phone has a 6.2-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal screen. The refresh rate for both panels is assumed to be 120Hz.

Brar’s phone spec sheet also includes the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, 12GB to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage. In other words, the top-end Z Fold 4 model can have more RAM than the top-end Z Fold 3, which offers 12GB of RAM in all variants.

Galaxy Zfold 4 seems to skip Samsung’s 45W charging solution. Multiple leaks suggest that the phone maintains the same 4,400mAh dual battery layout and 25W charging as its predecessor. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Samsung’s fastest charging options aren’t as great as the company thinks. In our tests, we found that charging 45W on the Galaxy S22 Plus and Ultra is slightly faster than Samsung’s 25W charging solution.

You may see some notable changes in the Z Fold 4’s camera settings. The device is expected to offer a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 12MP 3x telephoto lens. It’s similar to the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus, except for the high resolution telephoto camera.
