Potential iPhone 14 demand continues to grow in China, says Kuo

Potential demand for the unreleased iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro series continues to grow in China, according to TF Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo’

In a tweet on Thursday, Kuo said his ongoing talks with distributors, retailers and scalpers in China have led him to believe that “potential demand for the iPhone 14 series continues to grow.”

According to Kuo, this is likely because Apple “nearly dominates” the high-end smartphone market in China after Huawei exited the 5G market in the wake of a US ban that prevented the company from doing much of its business. core components and technologies

The gap left by Huawei means there’s a wider range of potential iPhone users in the market than there were before, Kuo said.

That’s especially important because the iPhone 13 is reportedly sell better than previous setups.

Apple also seems to have taken note of the potential demand. Earlier in July, two supply chain sources said the company: expect higher demand for the iPhone 14 than the current iPhone 13 series.
