Brits are being advised to go on a commando to beat the heat – with doctors saying it’s good for you to drop your pants.
Doctors say not wearing underwear makes the skin cool more efficiently by sweating.
Airing out your ‘bits’ also lowers body temperature, can improve sperm counts for men and reduce the chance of getting a yeast infection, often caused by heat.
But medics are also warning people to beware of painful zipper injuries and wearing rough clothing on sensitive areas.

According to the health line website, Candida, the bacterium responsible for yeast infections, thrives in warm, moist environments, and throwing out underwear can reduce women’s risk. .
“Wearing tight underwear or underwear not made of breathable material, such as cotton, can trap moisture in your genital area and make it easier for yeast bacteria to grow,” they said.
They also said not wearing pants can help reduce vaginal odor and discomfort, as moisture from sweat and heat can make the genital area smell stronger.
With regard to men, the experts advise that commanding and well-ventilated can reduce yeast infections.
They said “warm, wet genitals” are a breeding ground for fungi, which can cause “redness, irritation and itching.”
But they warned that those who do go into command should wash their clothes regularly.
“Genitals carry a lot of bacteria,” they said, adding that you should only wear clothes that touch the bare genitals once.
