Jennifer Lewis says her new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the biggest accolade of her illustrious career…and she loves it so much that you can find her there every day.
We got the author of “The Mother of Black Hollywood” and “Black-ish” star Friday as she left her ceremony and asked what her position on the Walk of Fame means to her.
Jenifer tells us that the star is much more important than a trophy for a show or performance, because it’s forever.
Jenifer has good company on the WoF – her star is right next to it Katharine Hepburn — and she jokingly says she sleeps next to it every night and drives past it every day, telling people not to step on her good name.
On a more serious note, Jenifer tells us she’s overwhelmed with appreciation for the career milestone — recalling all the work, on camera and off, it took to get to this point…including caring for her bipolar disorder.
Her famous friends showed her serious love during the ceremony… including Brandydirector Debbie Allen‘SNL’ alum Vanessa Bayercomposer Marc Shaiman and former “Amen” star Roz Ryan.
