Love Island‘s favorite couple just continues to deliver the content we crave, and fans are obsessed with yet another classic moment from Friday’s episode.
The latest episode promise huge dramawith the annual Movie Night returning and threatening to expose the islanders house love secrets.
And while the episode got off to a slow start, Movie Night absolutely delivered at the end, with both Luca and Davide unhappy with what they saw.
First, however, the Italian hunk was happy with Ekin-Su as they cuddled on the beanbags after their roller coaster relationship finally somewhat dissolved.
Fans were absolutely obsessed when Davide – who had previously called Ekin-Su the love of his life – warned that he still needs to be “cautious” with their relationship.
“Trust is good, not trust is better,” he said, to which Ekin-Su said, “I don’t understand” (fair enough).
And Davide replied with a grin, “You will understand the girl.”
The cheeky comment set social media on fire, with fans obsessed with how far the pair have come since their infamous ‘liar, actress’ at the start of the series.
“Davide, you have my heart and soul,” one fan gushed, while another said, “DAVIDE CALLING EKIN BABY GIRL HAS ME IN CHOKEHOLD.”
“Why does David say baby girl makes me feel a certain way,” said another, while another agreed, “If Davide said baby girl to me like that, I’d be sick and tired of it.”
But in the classic style of Ekin-Su and Davide, the fun moment didn’t last long, with things taking a bit of a nosedive when Movie Night showed the Turkish soap star getting close to George in Casa Amor.
In the clip, the pair could be seen in bed together, as Ekin-Su left before telling George that they were “just friends.”
But it showed that Ekin-Su and Geoge had a “private” conversation in which they seemed to acknowledge something happened—because, after all, as Ekin-Su said, they’re “both attractive people.”
The mood quickly soured, when Davide turned to Ekin-Su and delivered the now classic line again: “Liar.”
It then showed Davide in the confessional, shaking his head and asking, ‘Why did you lie again?
“Why do you, Ekin-Su, have to lie to me?”
Unfortunately for Love Island fans, Movie Night was cut short, with viewers having to wait until Sunday for the full fallout – but as always, fans of the pair are supporting them in spite of everything.
(Or in some cases, just fight for Ekin-Su.)
“I honestly don’t care what Ekin did. I want her to win, with or without Davide,” one person admitted.
Another pointed out the difference between Davide’s response this time and the iconic argument earlier in the series: “Davide doesn’t seem so crazy. Not as crazy as he was.’
There’s also a lot more of Casa Amor to reveal – and it might give a hint as to why Davide was a little more reserved this time around.
As one viewer put it, “I’m confused about the attack on Ekin as if Davide didn’t kiss several girls in Casa?”
Elsewhere in Friday’s action-packed episode, the islanders said goodbye to not one, but two people.
After a public vote, both Josh Samuel Le Grove and Coco Lodge were dumped from the villa after hitting the bottom.
A dejected Josh admitted that he “knew it was coming” when his name was announced, while Coco assured the other girls she was “all right.”
Tasha, meanwhile, ended up in the bottom three, and despite being saved from being sent home, she was in tears after the elimination.
She admitted that her confidence had been “smashed” after being in the bottom three several times, but was later cheered up by the ever-likable Dami.
Love Island continues on ITV2 on Sunday.
