Two suspected vandals arrested in Lagos

Rapid Response Squad (RRS) agents have arrested two suspected vandals who saw through vandals installed on the sides of the upper bridge surrounding the Lagos State Trade Fair.

The suspects, Abdullateef Abdulrahim, (22) and Aliyu Lawan (16) were arrested at Abule Oshun, Badagry Expressway around 3:00 AM on Friday, July 15 with a pile of guardrails already cut.

Abdulrahim, who was arrested with a hacksaw, was unable to explain what he was using it for around 3 a.m.

The commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, had dispatched one of the squadron’s tactical teams to the area in response to crime intelligence in the area.

The suspects recovered were; a hacksaw and a pile of cut guardrails.

Speaking about the development, Lagos State Police Commissioner CP Abiodun Alabi ordered that the case be turned over to State CID, Panti for further investigation and prosecution.
