OnePlus has released the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus North CE 2 5G announced in February with OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11.
The OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 1 brings a revamped user interface and new features to the Nord CE 2 5G, along with improvements to the OnePlus Shelf and Dark Mode. You can view the list of important updates below.

- Optimized desktop icons with improved textures, using a design inspired by brand new materials and uniting lights and layers
- Optimized AI system booster to 2.1 to keep the system running smoothly even when the load is high

- Newly added Work Life Balance feature, which allows you to effortlessly switch between Work and Life modes via quick settings

- Newly supported switching between different layouts with a two-finger pinch, intelligently recognizing the best quality photos and cropping the thumbnail according to the content, making the gallery layout more enjoyable

But before you proceed to install the update, be aware of the issues it has. For starters, the time on the AOD is displayed abnormally and video details do not contain location information. And if you make a clone of WhatsApp using the App Cloner feature, the cloned version may not play sound when the smartphone is connected to wireless earphones.
