But viewers have speculated that more hopefuls will arrive at the villa to shake things up.

So far we’ve seen Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Danica Taylor, Jacques O’Neil, Jay Younger, Charlie Radnedge, Antigoni Buxton, Remi Lambert and Afia Tonkmor make their appearance.

Adam Collard26, which first appeared in the 2018 series of the ITV2 reality showhas now also returned to the villa to cause trouble.

But some fans are desperate for more entrants, with one writing: “Is there less bombshells this year? I feel like there were fewer bombshells than previous seasons and I also wonder if we’re getting more? We are almost at the end.”

Another wrote: “I think there are fewer bombshells compared to last year.

“But last year they dumped people like crazy, hence the influx of bombshells and also the cast lacked storylines. This year the cast has provided constant storylines/drama so the producers don’t see the need to put so much into it.”

A third said: “I feel like this year they only bring bombshells if needed. Like Charlie for Ekin, Adam to break a pair, etc. There will probably be a girl bomb to Davide, Adam or Luca. test haha.”

A fourth agreed: “Well, Luca said I should drop a bomb and I’ll be flirting yesterday, so I’m sure one will come in. I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring one tomorrow night.”

But another suggested, “The OG cast is really strong this year, so I don’t think it’s particularly necessary.

“Indiyah, Gemma, Paige (although hers is a bit rough at the moment), Ekin, Davide and Luca all have quite large fan bases, so it would be difficult (and unnecessary) for new people to thrive.”

This year’s Love Island series will end in a few days.

A source said: “There has been speculation that ITV could extend the series as the ratings have been so impressive this year.

“But they also know that there can be too much of a good thing.

“With Winter Love Island returning in 2023, bosses want to keep the anticipation high and not exhaust the format.”

Millions more viewers have tuned in to Love Island this series.

Overnight data showed a peak of 3.5 million Britons watched Casa Amor’s dramatic reconnection last Thursday night – just 200,000 shy of Emmerdale, which peaked at 3.7 million.

ITV say they believe as many as 4 million people have seen the explosive episode to date, either live or while catching up.

Viewers are eager bosses, including favorite challenges like Mean Tweets and Snog, Marry, Pie before the action gets schmaltzy with Meet The Parents and Prom Night.
