The final lap starts bright and early with the runners and riders for the Claret Jug turning up after lunch to St Andrews.
At 16-under, the leading duo is comfortably clear of Cameron Young and Cameron Smith after a brilliant third round, capped by McIlroy’s eagle from the 10th hole bunker.
