First, specifications, unpacking

The Poco F3 was a truly unique device. This is probably the most recommended competitor we have to date. A true bestseller that provided far more bounces to ounces and quickly became a favorite of fans and critics. And today, 15 months after its premiere, we meet its long-awaited sequel, Poco F4.

The Poco F4 GT was announced and released prior to the Poco F4 premiere and turned out to be an attractive device offering the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset within budget. However, F3 was unpopular due to its state-of-the-art hardware. The latest chipset was also not included. It had the most thoughtful selection of features and components, and they ran like well-oiled machines, and provided great stability and reliability. And that’s what Poco F4 is ready to offer again.

Unfortunately, 2022 isn’t particularly supportive of smartphones. There is high inflation, a shortage of parts, an ongoing pandemic, and the threat of an impending World War. The mobile industry, especially chipsets, hasn’t made much progress since 2020, and it’s no wonder that the repackaged Snapdragon 865+ version of the Snapdragon 870 platform is still considered the most stable flagship grade kit. ..

In fact, because of what’s happening right now, there are many new phones that use chipsets with less features than the 2021 version, which has turned even worse.

Well, Poco F4 is an updated version of F3 and thankfully there is only one downgrade. It’s an inferior macro camera. The upgrade isn’t that exciting, at least not for Poco F3 owners, but it’s still worth it.

That’s why the Poco F4 offers Dolby Vision support, a better 64MP OIS main camera, and 67W charging faster than the Poco F3.

Poco F4 Review

The Poco F4 uses the same 6.67 inch E4 AMOLED panel as the Poco F3, with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch response. It supports HDR10 +, but is currently Dolby Vision certified.

The Snapdragon 870 5G chipset remains the same, with the same RAM and storage options (6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB). There is no microSD extension. Here are two updates that aren’t immediately obvious from the spec sheet. RAM will be LPDDR5 and the entire chipset will have a larger cooling system.

Like the F3, it has three cameras on the back, but the main cameras use an optically stable lens and a high-resolution 64MP sensor that supports 4K 60fps video capture. The 8MP Ultra Wide Camera remains the same, but the Macro Shooter has been downgraded from the cool 5MP AF Telemacro to a 4cm fixed focus basic 2MP cam.

Poco F4 Review

The Poco F4 maintains the same 4,500mAh battery as the F3, but offers faster 67W wired charging. There are also similar stereo speakers, NFC, IR blasters, Wi-Fi 6, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Obviously, Poco F4 is not a major update to Poco F3. But with its spec sheet and the attractive € 349 early bird price tag, it’s shaped as one of the most interesting offers across the midrange. What we usually call a flagship killer.

Poco F4 specifications at a glance:

If you think you’re familiar with this spec sheet and the Poco F4 design, it’s because the Poco F4 is a version of the Redmi K40s with an improved main camera.

Listing the Poco F4 abbreviation requires some serious issues, but if you’re interested in this, here are some. The F4 has basic water resistance, but Samsung’s A series is completely waterproof. I wish I could get a zoom camera instead of a demoted macro camera, but that wasn’t possible given its price and the current state of the world.

Now, we want to know what this Poco F4 has to offer. Especially because I reviewed the upper layer Poco F4 GT. So, without any further effort, here is the Poco F4 out of the box.

Unpacking Poco F4

The Poco F4 arrives in a black box with the usual yellow Poco mark. It’s quite thick and contains a lot. In addition to the F4, there is also a 67W power adapter and a 6A rated USB-A-to-C cable.

Poco F4 Review

It has a large paper compartment that holds a soft, transparent case, a thin screen protector, and a USB-C-3.5mm jack adapter. good!

Poco spares nothing in the F4 bundle and can only praise it.
