Love Island 2022: When could Casa Amor start? Expected dates

Hold on to your hats Love Island fans – Casa Amor is on the horizon.

The villa’s name may be translated to ‘House of Love’, but the annual function probably provides the most drama and sadness in the entire Love Island series.

The feature introduces many new bombs and endless amounts of temptation to the contestants.

Producers who always shake things up divide the girls and boys into two villas and seduce them away from their current romances with a whole new set of potential love interests.

So when can Casa Amor start in 2022?

Here is everything we know so far.

When does Casa Amor usually start?

Love Island bosses have yet to confirm the date – but it has been reported that Casa Amor will kick off on Monday, July 4th.

An insider from the show said: “Just when the islanders start to get comfortable in their couples, they are going to get a big shock as they are torn apart.”

“This year’s Casa Amor promises to be the most explosive yet thanks to some seriously fiery characters, who have already shown their heads can be turned,” the source said The sun.

However, a Love Island spokesman said Metro.co.uk that the date is ‘pure speculation’.

Last year, the function was announced at the end of week four, begins in week five.

How long does Casa Amor last?

Casa Amor lasts about three to four days, just long enough for heads to be turned and for the infamous postcard to be sent to the main villa.

Participants are then asked if they want to stay with their original partner, or connect with one of the new singles.

Casa Amor was responsible for some of the biggest fractures in Love Island history, including the temporary split of last year’s winners, Millie Court and Liam Reardon.

Can Casa Amor also be in a new villa?

So far, manufacturers have yet to confirm exact details about Casa Amor for the 2022 series.

This year, ITV has brought a brand new villa to the main house of Love Island, so fans expect the same for the Casa Amor residence.

However, producers are using a new villa for Casa Amor in 2021, so they can stick to it.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 and the ITV Hub at 9pm.
