Fashion company Superdry has ended its reported £1m deal with Brooklyn Beckham.

The 23-year-old celebrity offspring was billed as the brand ambassador last November – with a reported £1million contract, but it appears the partnership no longer exists.

Footballer’s son David Beckham and Spice Girl-turned-designer Victoria Beckham had shot arty black and white campaigns and a sustainable style collection for the brand and shared posts on his social media accounts.

The enthusiastic photographer also helped launch their new flagship store on Oxford Street late last year.

A Superdry spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Superdry is working with a range of brand ambassadors and have enjoyed working with Brooklyn during the launch of our new flagship Oxford Street and during our Fall/Winter 21 campaign.

“We always look at the ambassadors featured in our campaigns and decided to work with a different range of talent for Spring/Summer 22.”

At the unveiling of Beckham as brand ambassador last year, Superdry boss Julian Dunkerton said: “Brooklyn’s endorsement is a testament to what we do as a brand.

“As a company, we want to bring about positive change for current and future generations, a generation Brooklyn speaks to.”

At the time, the recently married Brooklyn said a Superdry top was “so comfortable” and praised their vegan offering. ‘It’s so comfortable – my fiancé steals my Superdry t-shirts because they’re so soft. She likes to sleep in it.’

“There’s also a jacket that I really bond with – it’s orange and short, so it’s just above my butt, which I like in my T-shirts and jackets. And the shoes are vegan, how is that possible?’

During his tenure as a brand ambassador, it was noted on social media that Brooklyn’s lifestyle choices could conflict with Superdry’s ethos.

It was pointed out that he was promoting vegan trainers, despite not following a vegan lifestyle as a trainee chef who was filmed cooking steak.

Superdry’s appearance was another one to add to his growing modeling portfolio, featuring him and his wife, American actress Nicholas Peltz26, all the face of Pepe Jeans.

He has already appeared on the cover of Vogue China, started modeling in 2014 and landed on the digital cover of Vogue Hong Kong in June last year with a mirror selfie.

His younger brother Romeo, 19, also famously starred in a Burberry Christmas campaign at the tender age of 12, so paired with Victoria’s designer label and makeup empire, fashion runs deep in Beckham’s blood.
