An active gunman sent spectators to the exit to North Carolina comedy club where comedian Craig Robinson would play a set on Saturday night.
Robinson, 50, best known for his role as Darryl in The Office, posted a video on Instagram shortly after the incident describing the “wild” experience.
Police said the suspect entered the club shortly after 9 p.m. and began brandishing a gun while demanding that everyone leave the venue.
Staff and spectators were evacuated and police arrived on the scene. At one point, the suspect released the gun, but authorities say it was after the club had been emptied.
No one was injured, police said the suspect has been arrested. The suspect’s motives are unknown.

In an Instagram video taken after the evacuation, Robinson said, “I’m safe. I’m cool,” describing the moments of chaos as the incident unfolded.
“I perform in the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter in the comedy club,” Robinson said in the video.
“It was wild, I was in the green room and they said ‘all out!’ It was definitely a moment.’

Robinson said he and others at the comedy club had moved to a nearby venue where the band was performing Big Time Rush.
“So they moved us here. There’s a concert going on, so I thought I’d just share it with you,” Robinson said as he filmed the crowd enjoying the concert.
Robinson’s show was canceled and did not resume after the shooter was apprehended.
‘He brandished a firearm at the company, which was quickly evacuated,’ the police said, ‘the suspect then released his weapon. There were no injuries and the suspect has been arrested.’
