Doudrop has long revealed the Covid-19 related health scare behind her WWE absence.
The Scottish wrestlerwhich is part of the Raw brand, hasn’t been on screen since September and she’s now revealed the reason why fans haven’t seen her at shows in a while.
“So I’ve had some time off to deal with a little bit of health issues I had. Luckily that was all. It was just a bit scary. Everything was always great,’ she insisted.
“Unfortunately I got Covid really bad and the symptoms I had – they worried about my heart. God bless them, they took good care of me.
“They took every test for my heart they could muster and every one of them came back as a piece of cake. And much to the chagrin of some people, my heart is in excellent condition.”
The new interview with Denise Salcedo took place in San Antonio, Texas just two days before the 2023 Royal Rumblebut Doudrop refused to reveal her plans for the weekend.
She teased, “I’ll be around and in what capacity?” I’m not going to tell, but I’ll be around.’
During her most recent match, she teamed with Nikki ASH – who has since reverted to her Nikki Cross persona – in a victory over Toxic Attraction on the September 6 episode of NXT.
The previous night, she and Nikki lost to Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez in what stands as her most recent Raw match.
This week is the first time that Doudrop has publicly spoken out in detail about the reason for her absence, although she responded earlier this month to a question from a fan why she ‘disappeared’ from TV.
Without getting into too much detail about the whole situation, she replied on Twitter, “I was very sick but I’m on the mend. 🧠💪🏻’
WWE Royal Rumble 2023 will air Saturday night (January 28) at 1am on the WWE Network and BT Sport.
