Megan Markle has been plagued by one Royal biographer who claimed she has “another side that’s really scary”. Angela Levin barged in on the Duchess during negotiations over whether she and Prince Harry will participate in the coronation later this year looms large.
Ms Levin claimed Samantha Cohen, Meghan and Harry’s private secretary who had worked at the company for nearly two decades, “couldn’t stand the job”. Ms Cohen left her job with the Royal Family in 2018.
“[Meghan’s] don’t like to miss. She really isn’t, and anyone who falls for that – as Harry did – is in a difficult position. I think she brings out the worst in him,” Ms Levin told Dan Wootton on GB News.
She claimed, “If she wants to, you get a surprise if you want her to be sweet, kind, and charming. She can be, but she also has another side that’s really scary.”
Prince Harry has said that he has never been happier in his marriage to Megan Markle.
“I have two beautiful children and a wonderful wife. I’ve never felt the happiness in my family now anywhere else,” he told ITV’s Tom Bradby in an interview ahead of the release of his memoir Spare.
Ms Levin’s comments come as the pair discussed the reported dismissal of two senior staff at the Sussex family’s charity Archewell.
The news comes amid reports that King Charles III has enlisted the help of Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby to act in negotiations between the royal family and the Sussexes over their presence at the coronation.
According to The Telegraph, the king is concerned that Meghan and Harry’s absence from the coronation will be more distracting than their presence.
Archbishop Welby, who presided over the Sussexes’ wedding in 2018, was said to be “deeply supportive of their plight”, according to the newspaper.
King Charles would be willing to make concessions for their presence, including high-profile seating and assurances that the couple would retain their titles. His coronation will take place on May 6, 2023.
