EastEnders spoilers: Soap appears to declare Phil will die next week | soap

We have a bit of a mystery on our hands if we’re being completely honest. There’s a chance Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) will die in EastEnders.

Let’s explain.

He is currently behind bars and still refuses to become a police informer. Phil manages to get himself a new enemy: prisoner Craig.

Wants to know what his family is up to; Phil then turns to another inmate named Ravi and asks him for a burner phone.

Later, Phil calls Kat (Jessie Wallace), but there is cause for concern when the line suddenly goes out.

While in jail, Phil gets into a huge fight with Craig, forcing the prison guards to step in to sort things out.

Phil then meets with DI Keeble, who warns him that he won’t survive long in prison, giving him 48 hours to make a decision about her offer.

But the drama really starts the next day.

Craig sends Phil a sinister warning: he dies tomorrow.

Phil becomes desperate and turns to Ravi and offers to pay him to support him.

When Craig finds Phil, he reminds him that time is running out and later that day Craig and his men arrive.
