Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark) will say goodbye to Hollyoaks next week as he leaves for a new event in Canada, eager to begin the next chapter of his life after laying down his father Luke (Gary Lucy).

Luke, as viewers know, died earlier this month after falling from a cliff top in Mallorca and into the sea.

His funeral service will be held next week, and Ollie will be tasked with delivering the eulogy at the request of Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring).

But since it’s a particularly emotional day, he struggles to get through the eulogy, forcing Cindy to intervene.

Addressing Luke’s loved ones, Cindy encourages those to look at the positive aspects of his life, under a heartbreaking roll of memories.

It’s a gripping moment, one that is finally ruined by the impromptu return of Scarlett (Susie Amy), Ollie’s mother, who drops a large bomb in the middle of the service.

However, Ollie soon has other things on his mind as his last day in the village of the same name begins.

Viewers will have seen him apply for a job in Canada a few weeks ago, and it is precisely this opportunity that leads to his departure.

Ollie’s final scenes will be broadcast on Thursday, July 7th.

Gabriel Clark took over the role of Ollie in 2020, after Aedan Duckworth, who played the role between 2018 and 2020, left the program.

Throughout his time at Hollyoaks, the actor has been the center of many incredible storylines like Ollie, such as the character’s fight against addiction, his role in Sid Sumner’s (Billy Price)’s near-death, and of course Luke’s fight with dementia.

One to watch: Thursday 7 July at 19:00 on E4.
