An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was felt in Christchurch on Sunday night.
The quake struck at 10:37 p.m., 5 kilometers south of Christchurch and with a depth of 6 km, Geonet said.
Thousands of Christchurch residents felt the earthquake and Geonet received 10,000 reports of the earthquake after it happened.
