iPhone 15

The iPhone 15 series is expected to be unveiled in September 2023. This would be in line with previous Apple events for the iPhones. Apple is likely to make a major design change to the display of the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Max. With the iPhone 14 series, Dynamic Island was only available for the Pro models. But with the iPhone 15 series, it is expected to expand to all iPhones. While Apple never confirms these details before launch, the rumors and leaks of the iPhones start months ago due to their popularity.

First of all, the display of the iPhone 15 series is likely to be slightly larger. The rumors and leaks suggest that the iPhone 15 will come with a large 6.2-inch screen instead of the 6.1-inch screen in the iPhone 14 series. It won’t make much of a difference to the user’s experience, but the change may be to accommodate the new Dynamic Island.

The non-pro models of the iPhone 15 series are expected to be equipped with the A16 Bionic chips, while the iPhone 15 Pro models will come with the A17 Bionic chip. The iPhone 15 is expected to have the larger 48 MP wide-angle sensor used on the iPhone 14 Pro devices. It would be interesting to see how that changes the camera experience for users. However, the telephoto sensor and the LiDAR will likely be reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro devices only.

There may be a Type-C port on the iPhone 15 series. Whether it would support fast charging or not is the question. Since Android devices can be charged at speeds in excess of 200W, it would be quite disappointing if the iPhone 15 series retains the old 20W charging support that exists for the iPhone 14 series.

There are also rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would not have physical buttons. That would be a major design change and something that no other mainstream and popular flagship phone has.
