Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on Netflix Reality Show “Employment Director” | Royal | News

The Duke of Sussex and the Duchess are reported to have teamed up with Liz Garbus in their “home” documentary. Harry and Megan are alleged to have allowed Netflix cameras to shoot the show behind the scenes at their home in Montecito as part of a lucrative deal with the streaming giant.

Hollywood sources previously said Netflix was “getting a pound of that meat” from a couple of documentaries.

Garbus’ career has focused on true crime, voter oppression, and the judicial system.

She directed Series 4 of the Emmy-nominated The Handmaid’s Tale.

Ms. Garbus was seen with Harry and Megan when the camera crew continued during her visit to New York last September, according to a six-page report.

Netflix cameras also participated in Sussexes at Invictus Games in The Hague in April.

The reported documentary is part of a contract signed by a couple with a streaming giant after quitting their royal job in 2020.

Netflix is said to want the show to match the release of Harry’s all-encompassing memoirs by the end of the year.

A Hollywood insider said earlier, “I think it’s no exaggeration to say that Netflix has that body.”

After it was revealed last month that Meghan’s anime show Pearl was dropped by a streaming giant.

The Archewell Productions project was set up to focus on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl inspired by an influential woman in history.

Megan will be the executive producer of the series with Sir Elton John’s husband, David Furnish.

When Pearl was announced, the Duchess said:

“Archewell Productions, which is affiliated with Netflix’s powerful platform, and these amazing producers are excited to bring together this new anime series to celebrate extraordinary women throughout history.

“David Furnish and I are eager to bring this special series to light and are pleased to announce it today.”

The show was discontinued as part of a strategic decision made by the streaming giant around the anime series.

It is understood that Netflix has decided not to proceed with the development of some projects. One of them is Pearl.

According to Netflix, Archewell Productions continues to be an important partner and continues to collaborate on many projects, including the documentary series Heart Of Invictus.

The streaming giant lost 200,000 users in the first three months of 2022, well below expectations of adding 2.5 million subscribers.
