The exact date and cost you need to start paying to enter the EU from next year

If you are planning a vacation to Spain, Italy, France or Portugal next year, you will have to pay to enter the EU.

This is due to the introduction of a new visa system for all British travelers entering the Schengen area from 2023.

For trips of less than 90 days in 180 days, called the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), the British must have this.

The cutoff point for all vacationers from the UK to have ETIAS to travel to the EU is May 2023.

ETIAS is required when traveling by plane, boat, or car to EU Schengen countries, even when passing through Europe.

It also applies to other countries participating in the near future, such as Croatia, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania.

Once in the EU Schengen area, travelers are free to move between countries.

The fare is 7 euros (£ 5) and travelers between the ages of 18 and 70 must have one.

Must be applied before travel and can be completed online. British people must apply at least 96 hours before departure.

Applicants will be asked for information on their identity, passport, education, work, recent trips, and criminal convictions, including whether they have been expelled from the country.

Information is screened using the EU security database and most of the applications are processed within minutes, but can take even longer.

Once approved, the ETIAS Visa Waiver Program will be sent electronically to the applicant.

The airline also needs to confirm the visa before passengers board the plane.

Thankfully, they last for three years, but will expire if you need to get a new passport.

If you need to stay for more than 90 days, you will need a different type of visa for some reason.

The new visa system was scheduled to be rolled out this year, but was delayed by the new European Union Immigration System (EES) system, which will be rolled out throughout Europe later this year.

The new digital system checks a person’s name, biometric data, and date and location of entry and exit.
