Move over, Einstein, 12-year-old Anwita’s high IQ score is not a theory | UK | News

Schoolgirl Anwita Patil, just 12 years old, already has an IQ higher than that of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, writes Helena Vesty. The younger surprised officials at Mensa, the world-famous high-IQ association, when she scored more than the two legendary physicists – believed to have an IQ of around 160.

Anwita’s parents put her to the test after she kept beating her mathematician mother Anu with complicated problems.

Shocked father Jay, an NHS counselor in Manchester, said: “She got the highest possible score of 162 in her age group.”

Anu, who has a PhD in Mathematics, realized something unusual was going on when her little girl started beating her with the answers.

Jay said, “From grade school on, Anwita would come up with some ways to solve problems that my wife doesn’t know about. We thought there must be something else going on.”

So Anwita took two Mensa tests – the first for language skills and lateral thinking, where she got 162. The second was for visual and spatial awareness, and she scored 140.

Proud dad Jay added: “When we found out I thought ‘you must be kidding?’.
