Georgia Harrison claimed that many people connected to her traumatic revenge porn case because it is “so common.”
The Love Island star’s ex, bear, received 21 months in prison for sharing a private sex video of them on his OnlyFans website.
Bear monetized the clip, which was posted without Georgia’s permission after she was unaware it was being filmed.
The 33-year-old also received a restraining order not to contact Harrison for five years, and will be required to report for 10 years after signing the sex offender registry.
Harrison issued a strong statement after the sentencing, she admitted she was “happy and relieved.” ‘finally over.’
On today’s episode of Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, the 28-year-old TV personality said: ‘My case in general has really shocked the British public, but it’s so ordinary – so ordinary.
“Since this happened to me, I’ve become someone victims reach out to, and I get to see at least five women a day—usually victims, but sometimes mothers of victims or family members wanting advice.”
She continued, “You just wouldn’t believe how big this is and how many people are affected by it.”
Harrison previously described Bear as “a mockery” of the trial, as he repeatedly appeared in court in a rented Rolls Royce, dressed in furs and carrying a cane.
On the morning of his sentencing, he sang to reporters and took selfies outside court.
She recently revealed that she’s torn about the way he acted because even though it was “so disrespectful” and “painful to watch,” at least the world now saw “what I’ve been dealing with.”
The star will tell her full story in the ITV documentary Revenge Porn, which airs on Monday 20 March.
