Margot Robbie returns to Neighbors for the soap opera’s finale

Margot, 32, who played Donna Freedman in the long-running soap from 2008 to 2011, filmed a scene from THE.

A source told The sun: “Everyone who worked on the soap was determined that Neighbors would end on a real high and when they reached Margot she immediately said ‘yes’.

“There was no question of her not being part of the historic grand finale as she has always spoken so fondly of her time on the soap and how it helped launch her film career. Sadly, she couldn’t go to Australia for the filming, but recorded a special clip that will be shown in the grand finale.”

Margot recently finished filming a live-action Barbie movie alongside Ryan Gosling.

Delta Goodrem and Kylie Minogue also return for the final. The pair will be joined by a host of other former stars, including Guy Pearce, Daniel MacPherson and Natalie Bassingthwaite.

Jason Herbison, executive producer of Neighbors, said: “We are extremely excited and very humbled to have so many favorite characters with us – and there are even more surprises on the last night!”

After 37 years on screen, Neighbors will conclude with a double-episode special on Friday, July 29.
