One of the new revelations at today’s Nintendo Direct was an adventure game called Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. The new title will be launched on Switch in 2023 as an exclusive time console.
The Direct’s narrator calls the game a modern twist on point-and-click adventure games, and the inspiration is evident throughout the game. The trailer does not give much away about the story, but it turns out that the main character is a mysterious woman (a letter on the screen refers to “Signorina Weiss,” but it is not clear if it is her). The trailer also says the game is a murder mystery.
Lorelei was developed by Simogo, the studio behind Sayonara Wild Hearts. Annapurna publishes it as part of the companies’ multi-year partnership.
