HMD worldwide revealed the entry level Nokia C12 in January and followed immediately Pro model in March. Now the brand has added a new member to the C12 range called Nokia C12 Plus.

The Nokia C12 Pro is basically the vanilla C12 with a larger battery (4,000 mAh vs 3,000 mAh), while the C12 Plus is the C12 Pro with a different memory configuration. And that doesn’t mean more RAM or storage space, but less.

The Nokia C12 Pro comes in 2GB/64GB and 3GB/64GB configurations, but the Nokia C12 Plus comes in a single 2GB/32GB configuration. However, it has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256 GB.

The Nokia C12 Plus is listed on Nokia’s Indian website with an unnamed Unisoc octa-core CPU, featuring four cores with a maximum clock frequency of 1.6 Hz. This suggests that the Nokia C12 Plus is powered by the same chip as the Vanilla and Pro models – SC9863A1.

The rest of the highlights of the Nokia C12 Plus include a 6.3-inch HD+ display, 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and Android 12 (Go Edition). The smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and has a microUSB port.

We don’t know when the Nokia C12 Plus will go on sale, but we do know that it costs INR 7,999 ($100/€90) in India, which is odd considering the Nokia C12 Pro comes with more RAM (3GB) and storage (64 GB) costs INR 7,499 ($90/€85) in the Asian country. Hopefully we’ll have more clarity on that when HMD unveils Nokia C12 Plus availability details.
