Love Island’s Luca Bis and Gemma Owen have been accused of being ‘salty’ after Davide Sanclimenti early Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu gets exclusive with him on the Sunday episode of the ITV2 reality show.
Before four islanders were dumped from the villaDavide finally popped the question with a homemade tiramisu (because one way to a woman’s heart goes through her chest), much to the delight of viewers at home.
However, Luca seemed a little annoyed by the situation and was quick to declare that there are now three couples in the villa, not counting himself and Gemma.
“You’re technically exclusive, you always have been,” Ekin-Su reassured him. ‘You are boyfriend and girlfriend, you don’t have to say it, it’s really obvious. You just have to meet the parents, that’s all.’
Ekin-Su also called the couple “husband and wife” and the compliment seemed to please Luca, who confessed that he was pleased with the comment.
“It has given me clarity,” he joked.
But Gemma didn’t seem to take the comment well and quickly ordered Luca to “shut up.”
“You’re bitter,” she joked.
Luca was quick to deny Gemma’s accusation, but she continued, “We didn’t do anything like that to know we’re exclusive and I’d rather have it that way.”
“What if I ask you to be boyfriend and girlfriend?” Luca questioned.
“That would be different,” she replied.
Viewers were amazed at the scenes at hand, and many said Luca and Gemma came across as bitter.
“Okay, why can’t Gemma and Luca just be happy for Ekin and Davide???” asked one.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another said, “10000% Gemma and Luca are jealous of Ekin and Davide, stop being hateful and want all the attention, and be happy for someone else.”
“I didn’t like Luca and Gemma’s reaction at all that Ekin and Davide were so exclusive, like why are you so bitter,” a third raged.
Earlier this week, Davide and Ekin-Su were the bookies’ favorites to win this year’s Love Island after the fallout from Mad Movies.
Know they can’t keep their hands off each otherthe Italian stallion and Turkish soap actress have found their way back into the hearts of fans and it looks like they could take the crown.
