Should I let my ex-swindler stay with us?

DEAR DEIDRE: MY niece got out of prison after committing fraud and asked if she can stay with me.

I am female and 55, she is 58.

My husband doesn't want to hear my ex-niece stay with us

My husband doesn’t want to hear my ex-niece stay with us

We’ve always been close, despite her crimes that led her to jail.

When she came out she originally asked to stay in our caravan on the coast but we rent it out and it’s fully booked all summer so we can’t afford to cancel all visitors.

She says that the municipality where she has to stay is horrible and in a very dangerous area.

My niece came to stay with us before she was caught cheating, and at that moment some money disappeared from a tin in the kitchen.

We’re not sure if she took it, but my husband doesn’t want to hear about her staying with us now.
