Laser Limbo brings Mixed Reality PvP laser gaming to Quest

Laser Limbo turns your living space into a mixed reality laser tag arena, and an open beta is available on Quest App Lab.

Laser Limbo, developed by freeroam.ar, gives you laser guns and covers each person's body with an avatar vest. The Quest, Laser Limbo, previously released as a location-based entertainment experience, features several modes: Coin Chase for collecting money, the more strategic Team Puzzling and Shooter, where you compete against AI enemies in solo play or against other players .

Reminded of Laser danceEach mode also contains laser traps that you should not touch. Once you've set up the room layout, the map editor allows you to place spawn locations, virtual walls, and more. The studio states that you can also “create new gaming scenarios in your home” with this editor.

This isn't the first time we've seen laser tag-like games in mixed reality. Resolution games (Demeo) has previously announced that it is being worked on Spatial operations, a competitive multiplayer shooter for 1-8 players. Currently in open beta SideQuestSpatial Ops supports classic game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Free-For-All and Domination.
