Arelion, a global internet service provider, has announced an expansion of its network infrastructure in the southeastern United States. The expansion includes the launch of two low-latency multi-terabit capabilities trajectories from Jacksonville, Florida, to Atlanta or Georgia, and Jacksonville to Tallahassee, as well as an overbuild route from Miami along the west coast of Florida to Atlanta.

New high capacity routes launched
Arelion These new routes allow the company to offer fully diverse connectivity services from Jacksonville to Atlanta via two direct routes, utilizing next generation open optical line systems supporting C+L Band, sixth generation coherent optics and 400G -wave capacity from multiple suppliers.
Expansion to meet growing demand
“Arelion's new routes increase its ability to serve local traffic while supporting subsea traffic flows to Atlanta from the Caribbean, Central America and South America via submarine cables landing in Jacksonville,” the company said.

“These new investments in Georgia and Florida enable Arelion to meet the enormous demand for reliable connectivity services and massive capacity amid the data center boom in Atlanta,” said Arelion. “By providing additional meshing and diversity in Atlanta, we can meet the connectivity needs of local businesses while supporting subsea traffic from Jacksonville and other edge markets in Florida and subsea cable landings, enabling low-latency cloud, content and AI/ML delivery made possible in various industries.”
Additionally, the expansion strengthens Arelion's presence on the Gulf Coast, with four different route options to Jacksonville and six to Atlanta.
