Prince William revealed that his eldest son and heir Prince George is already taking shape to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather with his future career.
The Prince of Wales was joined by several other members of the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, May 21, for their fourth garden party of the year.
He was accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and his cousins Princess Beatrice, Princess EugeniePeter Phillips and Zara Tindall and her husband Mike.
However, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not present, although they did host the first two garden parties of the season, with Princess Anne taking the lead at the third.
The King and Princess Kate, who continues to take a step back from their royal duties, are undergoing treatment for cancer but His Majesty will be back at work on Friday with a visit to Crewe.
With his three children George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, William spends their last week at school before the May holidays shared a charming update about George's hopes for the future.
The Prince was chatting to Reverend Squadron Leader Chrissie Lacey from RAF Coningsby in Norfolk when he told her his eldest would like to visit the base as he is a “potential pilot in the making”.
The officiating Father presented His Royal Highness with a batch of freshly baked cookies after exclaiming, “I hear you're the cookie lady!”
William then said, “I promise it wasn't a fishing expedition, but I'll take them all, this is great.”
The Father told William how she gets up at 5 a.m. at least once a month to make cookies for everyone who works on the base, buying the ingredients at her own expense.
The future king spent time at the party interacting with guests from RAF Valley. where he worked as a search and rescue pilot from 2010 to 2013.
During that time, he and Kate were stationed on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales before moving back to England the same year George was born.
Other guests were present from a number of patronages, military affiliations and “passion projects” of the Prince and Princess of Wales, such as Homewards, William's initiative to help combat homelessness.
Earlier this month, William visited the Duchy of Cornwall to take a look at a site in Nansledan where 24 new homes will be built for people in the area who need support from homelessness.
He met many of his new tenants at the garden party, where he kept spirits high by joking with the president of Swim England: “If this weather holds it will be perfect for swimming!”
