Prince William revealed a sweet bedtime ritual he has Prince Louis after receiving a gift from a royal fan.
The Prince of Wales, 41, intervened King Charles III for the Buckingham Palace a garden party today, braving downpours in London to greet the crowds of weather-weary Brits eager to meet the royal family.
Among other things, he led a team of young members of the royal family in the royal residence Zara Tindal and sisters Princesses Beatrice And Eugenieand happily interacted with the guests, at one point jokingly saying it was “perfect swimming weather”.
Although the weather dampened some of the festivities at one of the king's two summer garden parties, it didn't stop the prince from sharing some insights from his family life.
After a conversation with a guest, William made a sweet promise involving the young prince.
Among the guests in attendance earlier today was aspiring author, Rowan Aderyn, a member of the team at Homewards, a Newport center dedicated to ending homelessness.
Mrs. Aderyn, who was previously homeless, presented William with a copy of a self-written children's book centering on a boy named Jack, who is without a home.
She proudly told the prince that the book he received was “only of ten in the world”.
In response he said, “This is amazing, so inspiring. I'll read this to Louis tonight before bed.”
The royal also revealed some details about his eldest son, Prince George, while speaking to another guest.
Holding an umbrella for RAF Squadron Leader Chrissie Lacey, a chaplain based at RAF Coningsby, near Lincoln, he spoke of George's career ambitions.
He said the prince, 10, would like to visit her base as he is a “potential pilot in the making”.
William also admitted to the Squadron Leader during their conversation that he “loves biscuits”, after the RAF staffer told him about her “cookie ministry”.
Although the prince wasn't the only one greeting guests, he was without his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, and father, King Charles.
Both royals are currently being treated for unknown cancers, with Kate, 42, not planning to return to the royal frontlines anytime soon, and the King, 75, set to resume her duties next week.
