SAINSBURY customers are rushing out to get their hands on a popular cleaning product, which is available to scan at the till for just a few cents.
A customer with an eye for a bargain spotted the deal on Method glass cleaner at its local branch in Livingston, West Lothian.
She shared the news with the audience Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, where members share information about the latest cheap deals.
They posted a photo of the eco-friendly cleaning product with the caption: “Scan for 25p in Sainsbury's Livingston.”
Other members were quite impressed.
One wrote: “I love Method stuff. I just got the bathroom cleaner and was thinking about buying the glasses lol.
While another added in Polish: “If only I could have done that Sainsbury's for me that would be great,” and added a laughing emoji.
Many others simply tagged their friends on the post.
According to supermarket price comparison site Trolley, Tesco is currently selling the 828ml bottle for £2.75 as long as you have a Club cardotherwise it's £3.75.
Similarly, the Method glass cleaner can be purchased on Amazon for £3.75.
Guard rose sells it for €4 Ocado is currently the most expensive at £4.50 for a bottle.
However, Ocado is selling its own label window and glass cleaner for just £1.10.
Tesco currently charges £1.80 for its popular Mr Muscle glass cleaner for a 750ml spray.

Supermarket loyalty programs – which one has one?
MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty programs so customers can collect points and save money as they shop.
Here we provide an overview of the savings programs that you can find at the major brands.
- Iceland: Unlike other stores, you do not save points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.
- LidlPlus: Lidl customers do not collect points while shopping, but are instead rewarded with personalized vouchers that give them a cash discount at the checkout.
- Morrisons: The My Morrisons: Make Good Things Happen replaces the More Card and rewards customers with personalized discount vouchers via the app.
- Sainsbury's: Although Sainsbury's doesn't have a personal plan, it does own the Nectar card which can also be used in Argos, eBay and other stores. You need 200 Nectar points to save and spend €1 on your card. You must spend at least €1 to get one Nectar point.
- Tesco: Tesco Clubcard has more than 17 million members in the UK alone. You use it every time you shop and collect points that can be converted into vouchers. With 150 points you will receive a voucher of € 1.50. Here you have to spend £1 in Tesco to get one point.
- Guard rose: myWaitrose also doesn't allow you to collect points, but instead gives you access to free hot drinks and discounts on select brands in store.
According to the lucky customer, who uploaded the photos to the popular one Shopping tips, tricks and offers with yellow stickers group on Facebook, they popped into the local supermarket in the evening, before closing time.
The supermarket chain now sells a range of them solar powered garden lighting that cost less than €3.
Elsewhere, Asda is currently being sold moon chairs which scan for just £14.
Sainsbury's in April launched Nectar Prizesoffering customers exclusive discounts in a bid to compete with Tesco's Clubcard.
