Motorola is expected to release the Razr 50 with a large cover screen, and today the phone appeared on TENAA, confirming most of the rumors. The new premium smartphone will inherit the 3.6” panel from the Razr 40Ultrawhich goes around the two cameras and the LED flash.
The list also revealed key specs such as memory, cameras and CPU frequency. We expect the Razr 50 to launch with a mid-range chipset and a fairly large battery, but it will retain the overall design.
The Razr 50 will have a 6.9” foldable OLED on the inside, which will have a Full HD+ resolution and a hole for a 32 MP camera. On the back/cover there is a 50MP camera, assisted by a 13MP snapper, likely for ultra-wide shots. Despite having two OLED panels, the phone sticks to a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The Razr 40 launched with a mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, but now Motorola is reportedly turning to Mediatek for a chipset. The CPU is listed at 2.5GHz and reports say this is a Dimensity 7300X platform that has yet to be announced.
In terms of size, the Razr 50 measures 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2mm (unfolded) and weighs 188 grams. It will launch with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, with the final memory combinations to be revealed at launch. Motorola is still silent about it, but we expect the Razr 50 series to go live in the coming weeks.
