Here we are, looking back on another huge weekend of hurling, and once again questionable refereeing decisions are at the forefront. This isn't what anyone wants, but the lack of consistency in how the rules are applied begs the question: is it time for a video referee?
With the speed of today's game it is very difficult for referees to keep abreast of what is happening and as a result we see too many incorrect calls. They find it difficult to make instant decisions and I have no doubt that they doubt themselves. That's why we need someone to help them through that process.
