Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said an airstrike that killed at least 45 people in a tent camp in the Gaza city of Rafah was a “tragic mistake.”

Netanyahu told the Knesset that an investigation into the airstrike was underway. The bombing drew condemnation Monday from European leaders, who urged implementation of a World Court ruling to halt Israel's offensive.
