A WOMAN has shared a £1 DIY hack that can help you ban weeds from your garden instantly.
Kate Ring shared her handy hack via a video posted to her TikTok channel.
“Stop spending a fortune on toxic weedkiller because we're about to make a non-toxic version,” the mother of four told her followers.
To get started, the 42-year-old explained that you need an empty spray bottle, such as an empty bottle of window cleaner.
Then you need white vinegar, table salt and dishwashing liquid.
All these ingredients are super cheap, so the whole mixture won't cost you more than €1.

Kate said this solution is perfect if you have that petsbecause weed killer is poisonous, while this solution does not harm them.
The mother squeezed a lot of dish soap into the spray bottle and then added some salt and vinegar.
She didn't measure any of the products and said it's fine to just do it by eye.
After mixing the ingredients, Kate took her spray bottle to a patch of weeds and sprayed the mixture on it.
Salt is a great natural alternative to poisonous weed killer.
It works by increasing the level of ions in the soil and increasing the osmotic pressure, which means the weeds cannot absorb water and dry out.
White vinegar works in a similar way, as its acidity breaks down cell walls and removes moisture from weeds.
Dish soap does not work to kill weeds on its own, but it improves the effectiveness of the formula by keeping the salt and vinegar on the weeds.
However, be careful not to spray this mixture near an aerosol can plants that you want to keep because this mixture will kill those too.
Kate's video, which is posted under the username @yourmategingerkatehas probably impressed a lot of people as it has racked up over 92,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users rushed to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on the cheap hack.
