He told the YouTube podcast Kinsey Schofield unfiltered: “Especially for their children, because they live so isolated. They have a large family and can't spend time with them.
“And not even their extended family, [but] their immediate family – grandpa, and Prince George, Princess Charlotte And Prince Louis.”
Hilton said he acknowledged Harry and Meghan's experiences within the royal family were “difficult” but maintained that family life is the same. He opined, “You make it work. That's family.”
His comments come next Prince Harry visited Great Britain on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Gamesbut without Meghan, Archie, five, and Lilibet, whose third birthday falls on June 4.
Harry's service at St Paul's Cathedral failed to bring the Duke of Sussex together with members of the royal family, although relatives of Diana, the Princess of Wales' side of the family, attended the event.
Before that trip to London earlier this month, Harry flew back to Britain in February for another solo trip made after King Charles' cancer diagnosis was made public.
Prince Archie was born in London, but his sister has only visited Britain once. US-born Lilibet joined her brother, Meghan and Harry on a trip to Britain for the Queen's belated Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
Those celebrations coincided with Lilibet's first birthday, with the Sussexes hosting a party at Frogmore Cottage to mark the milestone.
Harry and Meghan shared images of Lilibet's big day in their Netflix docu-series. It showed the Duchess of Sussex holding her daughter in her arms in well-wishers and happy birthday around a pink birthday cake.
The Platinum Jubilee trip was the only time Lilibet met her great-grandmother, Elizabeth IIwith the Duke of Sussex recalling the meeting in his memoirs, Spare.
He described Archie making “deep, chivalrous” bows to the late monarch and Lilibet hugging Her Majesty's shins. The late queen said “dearest children,” according to the Duke.
Harry argued this in his lawsuit with the Home Office he wants his family to “feel at home” in Britain but that is not possible without sufficient security.
The duke has challenged the government over a decision to cut the level of government-funded protection he will receive when he visits Britain.
In a statement read out in court in December last year, Harry said Britain is his home and “central to his children's legacy”.
