Judas Bellingham has revealed that he received a 'little message' from Jadon Sancho for the Champions League last.
It will be the 'Jude Bellingham derby' at Wembley on Saturday, when Real Madrid face each other Borussia Dortmund with the winner being crowned the best team in Europe.
A win for Real would certainly cement Bellingham's status as one of, if not the, best players in the world right now after he was named La Liga Player of the Year following his side's title win.
The England international scored 23 goals and provided 12 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions in his first season with Los Blancos and could well steer his country to glory at the 2024 European Championship.
But before he links up with the rest of the Three Lions there is the small matter of the Champions League final, where he will meet his former Dortmund teammates for the first time since leaving the German team last summer.
Speak with Real Madrid's media channelBellingham was asked if he had spoken to any of their players ahead of the Wembley clash.
“I haven't spoken to any of them this week,” the 20-year-old initially replied.
“When we first went through it, I got a message from Jadon. So I spoke to Sancho.
“Just saying, 'I'll see you there,' and all that kind of stuff.
“Jadon has always been someone who took me under his wing when I first arrived at Dortmund. He's a really good guy. He helped me a lot.'
Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan from Manchester United in January after being banned from the first team following a public row with Erik ten Hag.
His form in recent months is reminiscent of his performances before moving to Old Trafford, including 18 months alongside Bellingham as they won the German Cup in 2021.
They were both in the England squad for Euro 2020, but the winger will not be on the plane to Germany after missing out on a place in Euro 2020. Gareth Southgate's provisional selection.
