EMONN Holmes and Ruth Langsford had tried to find ways to spice up a marriage in 2017 by visiting a sex dungeon.
The couple, who has announced they had broken up this weekendoften also had a professional on-screen collaboration, most notably with This morning.
But in 2017 they were recruited by Channel 5 for a series called Seven-Year Itch – which encouraged married couples to find ways to keep the spice alive in their relationship.
Eamonn and Ruth, who married in 2010, tried all kinds of ways to keep things wild in the bedroom, at one point visiting a dominatrix's sex dungeon to get some tips.
The dungeon, filled with sex swings, whips and dangerous-looking contraptions, was owned by a woman named Mistress Komakino, who teaches couples how to role-play.
Ruth soon learned the ropes of being a dominatrix in the bedroom, using a whip on a man tied to a bed and wearing a latex outfit.

The Mistress further explained how she helps couples put the spark back into their relationships by teaching them new tips and tricks.
She then demanded that Ruth look her in the eyes.
“Come on, I want to see that power coming from you,” she told her.
“You are strong, powerful, you are going to hit him very, very well.”
Eamonn then interjected anxiously: “He, not me.”
However, things didn't quite go as planned, with Ruth declaring, “Oh, I don't like hurting people!” causing Eamonn to intervene.
It turned out that he had a more natural affinity for the activity, which caused the man to give the man a good beating and tell him, “This is Ruth!”
In fact, he did so well beating the leather-clad man that Mistress Komakino offered him a job… which Eamonn politely declined.
Eamonn and Ruth confirmed this weekend that they had ended their 27-year relationship and 14-year marriage.
END OF AN ERA
A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement to The Sun on Sunday: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed that their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
