Telemach Slovenia has agreed to purchase a majority stake in Slovenian telecommunications operator T-2. Under the share purchase agreement signed with T-2 shareholder Garnol, Telemach Slovenia will initially acquire a non-controlling 24.9 percent stake in T-2, with plans to acquire at least 98.06 percent following approval from relevant regulators.

Strengthening the telecommunications infrastructure
Telemachus said that the transaction will enable T-2 to develop stably and effectively invest in the latest technologies, products and improved user experience. The combined Telemach and T-2 will provide users with technologically advanced optical network, enhanced mobile services and unlimited packages, which will help achieve the goal of 5G network connectivity and coverage at national level.
Telemach Slovenia noted: “With today's signing, we have secured a competitive future for T-2, which was uncertain due to the threat of bankruptcy. This acquisition strengthens our capacity for further investments in advanced mobile and solid telecommunications infrastructure, advanced technologies and innovative products and services.”
