Team Jade today announced that its upcoming first-person tactical shooter Delta Force: Hawk Operations has been wishlisted over 1 million times on Steam. The game currently has no set release date, but several people are playing it during the limited PC alpha test. According to Team Jade, the game will also be shown off at the upcoming Gamescom event.
The game features both a single-player and multiplayer mode and is set in two different time periods: 1993, a recreation of the Black Hawk Down campaign, and 2035, in which a futuristic team of former Delta operators goes on a secret mission.
The upcoming test for the game will feature both multiplayer modes: Havoc Warfare, a 32v32 battle on a large map (two different maps will be available during the alpha), and Hazard Operations, a PvPvE mode that pits teams of three against AI-controlled enemies and other teams.
Shadow Guo, the game's director, said in a statement on the game's Steam page: “Delta Force was the first shooter I ever played, and it ignited my passion for the genre. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to create Delta Force: Hawk Ops, and my goal is to share that unforgettable joy with even more players… We are pushing Unreal Engine to its limits to deliver a truly cross-platform experience that allows players around the world to immerse themselves in a vibrant world of deep characters, explosive destruction, and top-notch action… all worthy of the name “Delta Force.”
